More about the Ball....
New venue - we're on the move
This year’s Nights on Broadway themed Lesbian Ball is on the move.
Usually held at the Langham Hotel, the Ball this year will be happening on
Saturday 29 August at the Hyatt Regency on the corner of Princes Street and
Waterloo Quadrant near to the University of Auckland. The change of venue
has
been made necessary by the Langham Hotel’s on-going renovation
of its ballroom
and
reception areas making it impossible to use the
ballroom
until at least December.
They say a change is as good as a rest, so we checked out a number of different
venues to make sure we maintained a high standard and the Hyatt came out on top.
The hotel is centrally located with both on-site and street parking, a range of rooms
to suit all budgets, several restaurants and the usual guest amenities.
The ballroom itself offers some great features which we hope
will enhance
your
enjoyment of the Ball.
Sliding doors from the ballroom open onto a large outdoor patio meaning that
those
who want to smoke can do so without being away from the action. Toilet and
cloakroom
facilities are also internal to the venue so there’s no need to trek off down
the corridor
and there is a large bar and reception area adjacent to the ballroom
if you want
to chat with friends.
If you’re thinking of booking a room we suggest you
